By using Dalooda you agree to these terms. Dalooda is run by DALOODA LIMITED, a New Zealand company (company number 9362854). Contact: support@dalooda.co.nz.
Scan results and value estimates are AI-generated guidance based on general product knowledge — not a valuation, appraisal, or guarantee. Prices vary with condition, demand, and market. Always check an item yourself before buying or selling. This is general product information, not financial advice.
Dalooda is a platform that connects buyers and sellers. The agreement to buy and sell is between the two of them; we are not a party to it, and we are not responsible for items, payments, or conduct between users.
You may pay a seller by card in the app. If you do, your card is charged by Stripe and the money is paid directly into that seller's own Stripe account. Dalooda does not hold your money at any point, and cannot reverse a payment between two members.
That matters if something goes wrong. We are not able to refund you, because the funds were never ours to refund. Your remedy is your card provider — contact your bank and ask about a chargeback. Do that promptly; banks apply time limits. We will provide what records we hold if they ask.
Paying in the app is optional. You can still pay however the two of you agree — cash, bank transfer — exactly as before.
The fee. When a buyer pays a seller by card in the app, Dalooda keeps 1% of the sale — nothing on sales under $20, and never more than $5. It is taken automatically before the payment reaches the seller. A sale paid any other way — cash, bank transfer — has no fee. Listing is free.
Sellers: to be paid this way you set up an account with Stripe, and Stripe's own terms apply to it. You are responsible for the item, for describing it honestly, and for any tax on what you earn. A chargeback raised by a buyer is resolved between them, you and Stripe.
You keep ownership of your content, and grant us the licence needed to display and operate it in the app and on the Dalooda website. You are responsible for what you post. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.
Listings are public. Every listing has a page on the Dalooda website that anyone can open, without the app or an account, and search engines such as Google can show it in Google search results. It shows the title, price, condition, region, photos, description, and your display name, badge and rating, and never your phone, email or suburb. So don't put your phone number or address in a listing: buyers message you in the app. A sold listing stays reachable by its link but is hidden from search; a removed one is gone.
The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, and without limiting your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act where they apply, we are not liable for losses arising from user transactions or from reliance on AI estimates.
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do.
